New Haven Occupiers Lose Court Battle 09 Apr 2012 A federal judge decided on Monday afternoon that Occupy New Haven protesters must leave the New Haven Green by noon on Tuesday. The protesters, believed to live in one of the last Occupy encampments in New England, have been living on the Green for 176 days and have recently been in a battle with the city. The New Haven Green is privately owned but maintained by the city. During the last hearing, the judge granted a temporary restraining order, prohibiting the city from clearing Occupiers from the New Haven Green until at least today.
